Accessibility

Neighborhood

The home is in the quiet Joshua Tree Highlands, the most beautiful and convenient area in Joshua Tree. You'll be only 5 minutes from the national park entrance in one direction and 5 minutes from the town in the other direction. The town features many exceptional local shops and restaurants waiting to be explored, and the national park offers endless opportunities for adventure and exploration. The home is one of the few in the area on a paved road for easy access, yet has plenty of privacy and is surrounded by stunning scenery.

Guest Access

The property is behind a tall steel rust colored wall that provides privacy from the road. The accessible area for guests is about half an acre. The main areas guests can access are the cabin, porch, patio, hot tub, fire pit and natural landscape around the cabin. There is a house on the other side of the property, which is available for booking separately or together with the cabin. The cabin and house have separate gates/driveways and maintain privacy from one another. Unless the house and cabin are booked together, access to the other part of the property near the house is not allowed (the areas are clearly marked).

A perfect location with an incredible outdoor set up. This was the perfect home base for our joshua tree trip. The house is adorable, clean, and had everything we needed. The hot tub, hammock, and front porch allowed us to continue enjoying the desert even after we were done with our hikes for the day. Would absolutely recommend!

Had the good fortune to stay here for 4 days while exploring Joshua Tree NP. Proximity to the park and town couldn’t have been better. Despite its location on the highway the cabin felt very private and peaceful. Everything was immaculate! The high quality mattress made for a restful sleep every night and waking up to the beautiful sunrise, birdsong and terrific coffee was the best! In fact, we made use of and enjoyed all of the amenities. They even provide spa towels, robes and slippers for the hot tub! Colin was always prompt with his replies, attentive and personable. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!

Our stay at the Jackrabbit Cabin was so lovely. Colin, our host, was prompt, professional, and friendly. It's obvious that a lot of effort went into the organizing/decorating the cabin and its exterior grounds. The bed and linens were comfortable and welcoming. My husband and I felt at ease on our trip to Joshua Tree. We had everything we needed and the WiFi was reliable. We enjoyed the hot tub! The property had lovely string lights that lit up the intimate backyard, but we turned them off at night and sat peacefully under the bright stars. 💙

My wife and I spent 3 nights here in February. The location is perfect, with the park entrance on one side and the town of Joshua Tree on the other. The place itself is amazing, extremely clean and safe. - large backyard that makes you feel like you are in the desert. The place is on the main road so the front yard will have light bleeding from vehicles, but the backyard is pretty well isolated. - outdoor fire pit was wonderful to sit around - we enjoyed our breakfast overlooking the desert landscape under the pergola - we saw Falcon 9 rocket launch and enjoyed the night sky from the hot tub - we had marinated some food and brought with us, grilled it on the outdoor grill - Colin is a very responsive host, answering my queries promptly Overall 10/10 - would recommend! One small suggestion - could you add another hammock, it would be great for 2 people to lie in them and look at the night sky!

If you're looking for a cozy little spot close to the park and town, this is it. The cabin's proximity to the West Gate (4 minutes, as advertised) made it feel almost as easy as going into my own backyard. I stayed here solo and fell into a rhythm of waking up at dawn, getting a good hike in the park before the crowds arrived, coming back for hot tub, lunch and a nap, and then going back out for a late afternoon hike or night time stargazing when most people had already left. Colin was friendly and very responsive to my messages on the app and cabin itself is adorable and well outfitted - there's everything from spare phone chargers to welcome snacks and coffee. 10/10, planning to stay again sometime in the future.

As a Platinum Elite traveler who leans into Bonvoy properties, Jackrabbit Cabin with all the extra personal touches NOT boasted in the listing (including fixings for making smores!) has opened my eyes to understanding there are other Five Star experiences available to me. I WILL be returning to Jackrabbit Cabin and the exceptional hospitality Colin provides.

Lovely little getaway. Minutes from the park entrance made it easy to visit during the day and drive back in at night to stargaze. Highly recommend a few nights away here. Colin was very responsive and helpful. Great coffee, shower had excellent water pressure- lovely porch for sunrises and great little backyard table for sunsets. Comfy bed. Highly recommend visiting the Copper Room for dinner one night.
